Uncovering a radical discovery in solar energy | Sam Stranks

The future of solar power is here! We know you’ve heard that a lot, and each time the text is bolder and headlines are louder. But physicist Sam Stranks is really onto something. Using a revolutionary material called hybrid perovskites to create more efficient solar cells that can create and store energy, the possibilities for architecture, design and infrastructure development are endless.

Great news. Next we need better batteries.

This book [link here >>>https://t.co/wNanFvWyMg ] got me thru the design and installation of a complete off-grid system for my lake cottage. The process of site evaluation, system component selection, wiring, etc. is complex, but with a lot of study and this book, I ended up very happy with the results. Everything you need to know is here. I recommend it for anyone who is starting with little solar panel knowledge and wants to end up with a whole house system.

This is a promising technology, but nobody should think they will be taking reservations for orders any time soon. This is still very much in the laboratory stage. They still need to be made more efficient to catch up with conventional silicon PV cells, and they need to be made stable enough to survive in heat and rain and other environmental hazards. And of course, cheap, safe and nonpolluting methods of manufacture must be developed.

  4. Arman says:

This is all very nice and very promising but I keep wondering why such an amazing discovery continues to be a low profile news? They are about to hit the markets with revolutionary and totally disruptive technology and there is almost a complete silence. Maybe there are some problems with perovskite that Sam forgot to mention in his presentation? Anyway, good luck, I hope it works at least half as good as promised

  5. Tulio Cano says:

This is so great! I hope this Idea is spread around to help our planet a little bit

  6. Rittik Mandal says:

Why no views…?We need to share this idea!

  7. Brahma Amaravadi says:

Really a Awesome discovery Sam…! Eagerly looking for the Perovskites come into Market…!

  8. Zewei Li says:

This is EXCELLENT! Looking forward to your fantastic new discovery!

  9. Mary de Bavay says:

wow!!!! fantastic Sam ,so interesting .
