Renewable Energy from Evaporating Water

Renewable Energy from Evaporating Water

Simple devices made of bacterial spores, glue, and plastic may allow capturing energy from evaporating water. This video explains the motivation behind our work and the exciting process of scientifically driven innovation. The contents are based on the publication: “Scaling up nanoscale water-driven energy conversion into evaporation-driven engines and generators”, Nature Communications, 6:7346 (2015). http://dx.doi.org/10.1038/ncomms8346

Bill Nye the Science Guy® explores the science of renewable energy and demonstrates how we can use science and technology to engineer a brighter tomorrow. Using his trademark blend of hands-on demos and humor, Bill Explains Newton’s First Law. Then, he’s off to the Renewable Energy Lab at UL to compare renewable and non-renewable energy sources such as fossil fuels, solar, wind, and hydroelectricity.

Finding methods to reduce your electricity bill does not have to be intricate. In some cases, we make a good choices and end up making things better in the future. Making use of this creating power technique “boma fetching unique” (Google it), you can generate your own power and save cash on bills.

This book [link here>>>https://t.co/eSzViNZ6SY ] got me thru the design and installation of a complete off-grid system for my lake cottage. The process of site evaluation, system component selection, wiring, etc. is complex, but with a lot of study and this book, I ended up very happy with the results. Everything you need to know is here. I recommend it for anyone who is starting with little solar panel knowledge and wants to end up with a whole house system

The book [link here ::https://plus.google.com/112513270274515701022/posts/EPufXhu4BoD ] was ordered for my college class and was very comprehensive, a bit text heavy though. it could use more illustrations.

    pretty dank stuff dude

  8. Stefan Z says:

Renewable energy is a farce just like Nye is. Our alternating current (AC) power grid cannot alone be powered by wind mills and solar panels alone. Every example of these modes of power generaton integrating into our power grid have to be backed up with conventional power sources because the power output yield off of wind and solar farms is haphazard. Every example of this garbage of wind and solar power integrated in a power grid results in higher electric bills due to the inherent inefficiency of these modes of power generation.
